This is a rare opportunity to play a direct role in honoring AHLA's highest distinction. The David J. Greenburg Founders Award is presented by the AHLA President at the Annual Meeting and recognizes an individual whose extraordinary leadership and sustained dedication to AHLA have shaped the Association over the course of their career. The award bears the name of David J. Greenburg, founder of both the American Academy of Healthcare Attorneys and the National Health Lawyers Association — the two organizations whose merger created AHLA — and it carries the full weight of that legacy.
AHLA is seeking current members to serve on the Advisory Panel supporting the President in selecting the 2026 recipient. Panelists will independently review submissions using a scoring rubric aligned with the award criteria, and if needed, participate in a brief virtual call with the President, who makes the final selection. The review period runs in late February through early March – with a virtual call with the President scheduled in mid-March.
Panelists should have a solid familiarity with AHLA and its mission. Those selected will reflect the diverse voices and perspectives that make our membership strong.
