The Regulation, Accreditation, and Payment Practice Group is seeking volunteer authors to contribute their knowledge and perspectives on new or emerging issues in reimbursement, accreditation, and payment, particularly those policies finalized in the most recent payment rules. This is a valuable opportunity to share your expertise with a wide audience of health law professionals and to make a meaningful impact in our field.

Topics of Interest Include:

  • Medicare Shared Savings Program updates, particularly eCQM quality reporting implementation. 
  • Collection and reporting of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) data.
  • Current aspects of 340B policy, including Medicare reimbursement for 340B-discounted drugs, proposed revisions, litigation updates, and HRSA guidance on Child Sites.
  • Changes in Medicare Advantage rules regarding utilization management, prior authorization, and alignment with Original Medicare standards.
  • Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) revisions for dental care and Behavioral Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services.
  • Physician Fee Schedule implications for caregiver reimbursement.
  • Recent policy shifts, including FDA guidance, on lab-developed tests.
  • Contributions towards a comprehensive toolkit addressing current telehealth coverage and reimbursement issues.
We also welcome proposals on other relevant topics that you believe would benefit our members.
