The Association seeks members to serve on an Advisory Panel to assist AHLA’s President in reviewing nominations for the 2026 David J. Greenburg Founders Award, which is named in honor of David J. Greenburg. It is the Association’s highest and most prestigious award presented by the President to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional qualities of leadership and sustained loyalty and service to AHLA throughout their career.
Advisory Panel applicants must be current members who have a solid understanding of the Association, are willing to commit time to review and score applications and participate in a virtual meeting to discuss the entries. The review period will be approximately from February 23 to March 6, after which a call with the President will be scheduled between March 9 and March 12.
Applicants should disclose any potential conflict of interest in serving and cannot have nominated someone for the Award if serving on the Panel. Members must be available to work with the AHLA President during the review period noted. The Advisory Panel will be representative of AHLA’s diverse membership to ensure a variety of voices and perspectives are heard. Applicants should clearly define how they can best serve on this panel as outlined in the above description.
